gerald.digital builds new websites for shops and trades that are already open, then hosts them on a monthly plan. This page says what we collect to do that work, who sees it, and how you reach us.
What the form collects
When you send the form on the home page, we receive what you type:
- Business name
- Town and state
- Current site URL, if you add one
- Email address
- Plan (Oversight, Signal, Local, or Custom)
- Kind of business
- Notes
We do not ask how many years you have been open. The hidden bot field is only there to stop junk mail. If you fill it, we ignore the form.
What the brief collects
After you pay, a second form, the brief, asks for what we need to build your site: business name, the email you paid with, plan, the phone and address or towns to show, hours, what you sell, who your customers are, words you already use, a link to your logo and photos, colors, sites you like and don’t, must-haves, your domain, who it is with, and whether you get email at it, your Google listing link, social pages, and notes. We use it only to build and update your site. Never put a password in it. While you fill it in, your answers are saved in your own browser so you can come back. We don’t see them until you send the brief, and they are cleared once it is sent.
Who receives the forms
Both forms run on Netlify Forms and land in our inbox. We do not sell that list. We do not rent it. We do not print a public inbox on the marketing pages.
Payment
You pay on Stripe’s pages. Stripe sees the card or bank details. We do not collect card numbers on gerald.digital and we do not store them on our pages. Charges appear on a statement as gerald.digital or g.d web.
We use the payment record to start the work, email you, and keep the monthly plan running. If a payment fails later, we use the same record to follow the past-due steps on the Terms page.
Ads and measurement
If Microsoft Advertising is on, a Bing UET tag may load on the pages of this site, including the thank-you and brief pages, so we can tell that someone reached payment or paid. That tag is an advertising measurement tool. It is not a second copy of your form.
Microsoft Clarity also loads on every page. It records clicks, scrolling, and how people move through a page, so we can see what confuses visitors and fix it. Anything you type into our forms is hidden from those recordings. Clarity may set cookies.
We do not run a public review widget that scrapes your name onto this site.
Hosting the site we build for you
While a plan is active, we host the live files. Your domain stays in your name. Photos and copy you send us are used to build and update that site. They are not used as ads for gerald.digital unless you say we may show the work.
How long we keep a form
A form with no payment is closed after seven days. Paid work stays on file for as long as the plan runs, and long enough after that to send the site files if you earned them, or to handle a card dispute.
How to reach us
Use the form on the home page, the mail button on any page, or the phone button at the bottom of any page. If you leave a voicemail, we use it only to call you back. If you want a form removed, or you want to know what we have on file, write and say so.
